TARE was born from a belief I’ve carried with me since my teenage years—that accessories are far more than decoration. They are a form of self-expression, a way to communicate personality, confidence, and individuality without saying a word.

As I grew older, I began to notice a gap in the market. So many accessories were either beautifully designed but overpriced, or affordable yet lacking in quality and authenticity. I believed there had to be another way—to create jewellery and accessories that were well-crafted, meaningful, and accessible, without compromise.

Working as a cabin crew member gave me a unique perspective and an incredible opportunity to travel the world. Along the way, I was inspired by the cultures I encountered—the symbolism, artefacts, traditional jewellery, and architectural details that carry stories across generations. These experiences became the foundation of the Free Spirit collection, shaping designs that reflect movement, identity, and global influence.

Travel also allowed me to connect directly with original manufacturers, personally source high-quality materials, eliminate unnecessary middlemen, and closely oversee the production process. By combining my design vision with Sri Lankan craftsmanship, I was able to create something truly special—jewellery that balances quality, authenticity, and affordability.

TARE is more than a brand to me. It is a reflection of a journey, a lifestyle, and a belief that what you wear should represent who you are, not what you own.
